Loot Bag Ideas for 7 year olds and 8 year olds
Loot bags are such a great way for your little one to say thank you to their friends for attending their princess birthday party! And you don’t have to break the bank to make a big impact! Here are a list of ideas that you can consider choosing from when you are putting together loot bags for girls ages 7 and 8. Many of these ideas are also great for younger kids too!
Makeup
Makeup is often irresistible to little ones who look up to their moms! Eyeshadow pallets or makeup kits made specifically for kids can be purchased inexpensively at the dollar store or drug store for only a few dollars. Of course, check in with parents to make sure it is ok with them, first.
Slime
If you know… you know. Making slime is also a fun activity for the kids to do during the party. Set up all the ingredients and let them choose their colour and glitter. Provide tupperware containers or zip lock bags so they can take home their slime.
Hair Accessories
Hair bows, clips and hair elastics are the perfect go-to loot bag idea. If you want to get a little more fancy, you can sometimes find fun coloured hair extension clips or even hair chalk.
Tiaras
Tiaras are a great idea as they can be given to the kids at the start of the party. They can wear it while they are celebrating with their friends and then take it home.
Beads
Bead kits are another great activity that can be done during the party that provides the kids with a take home keepsake. Make sure there aren’t any kids under 3 around that might accidentally swallow a bead. They will likely go flying.
Chocolate
Need…Need I say more?? Just make sure there is extra just in case. And that way there’s some for you leftover too.
Candy
See above. Same idea. Might as well get your favourite kind so you have a snack while you put the loot bags together!
Ring Pops
These are a great crowd-pleaser among kids. We never recommend giving ring pops to kids during a party. Even the most careful of kids can forget it is on their finger and nobody wants to clean ring pop off of your couch, carpet or drapes.
Stickers
If you are having a themed party, stickers in the same theme can be a lot of fun. The dollar store often carries lots of different stickers with lots of different characters.
Activity Books
For kids who are a bit older, these can be great. Look for books with crosswords, word-searches and puzzles.
Cute Notebooks
Let them pass secret notes to their friends and write a list of who is invited to their next birthday party. Notebooks can be purchased inexpensively at Walmart, the Dollar Store, Staples or even Winners/Homesense.
Markers/Crayons
These are always a hit with kids, especially if you included a cute notebook.
Fidget Toys
The ever popular pop-it fidget toys are always a sure bet. Fidget spinners or other intricate games or puzzles can be fun as well.
A Princess or Barbie Doll or Stuffed Animal
It’s surprising how inexpensive some dolls can be and how much kids appreciate getting a whole large toy as their lootbag. Sometimes one big item is better than many little ones. (And cheaper, too!)
We hope you enjoyed this list of items you can include in your 7 year old or 8 year old’s loot bags.
